The Yankoffs did it again...with a chance to gain some ground on the suddenly flat Red Sox, they lose 2 of 3 in Tampa Bay to drop to 4-9 against the worst team in the history of sports. One more win by the Ray-blades and they will have taken the season series over the Yankoffs for the 1st time ever...

Alex Gonzalez drove in four runs, including a home run and Jonny Gomes snapped an eighth-inning tie after Tanyon Sturtze's wild pitch allowed him to score from 3rd. The Yankoffs are still 4.5 games behind the Sox, who have a chance to gain a half game tonight at LAA, and 1.5 back in the Wild Card hunt. With the Sox in LA, the Yankoffs begin a weekend series against the Chi-Sox on Friday.
