Tigers get last growl, take series

The Sox hit into 5 double plays, including one by David Ortiz in the 9th to kill the rally in a 6-5 loss to the Detroit Tigers Wednesday afternoon. The Tigers win the series 2-1 and will play the Sox again at Fenway starting on August 26th. Wells was shelled for 5 runs in the 1st inning, but only allowed one more in only 4 innings of work. Now on to LA for a showdown series with the Angels.
