NCAA on warpath over Native American mascots

NCAA has announced they will be fining any university that uses a Native American as its mascot during championship games. The mascot ruling just came down about a week ago and the head of NCAA said he thought FSU had good cause to appeal and be exempt from the rule. FSU has longtime support and sanction from the Seminole tribe in Florida to use Seminole name and image. The ruling says colleges can no longer us mascots and images deemed offensive to Native Americans, and the schools NCAA listed included FSU. The rule takes effect with post-season play this and next year.
