World Series Bonus: Yankoffs reminded of collapse

There is something very satisfying about the Chicago White Sox taking a 3-games-to-none lead over the Houston Astros Tuesday night, the backs to the wall deficit has all the experts and tv/radio shows on Wednesday saying, "the only team to every come back from a 0-3 deficit was the Boston Red Sox last year when they won 4 in a row over the Yankoffs."

From the Houston Chronicle: "After five hours and 41 minutes, after 17 pitchers combined to throw 482 pitches, the White Sox became the 22nd team to win the first three games of the Series. The first 21 teams to get that kind of head start went on to win the Series. Eighteen of those Series ended in sweeps, thus reducing the Astros to trying to reinvent themselves as idiots, Boston Red Sox-style.

"Just last October, the Red Sox proved that a comeback from 0-3 is more than just theoretically possible. Billed as a band of ''idiots" by center fielder Johnny Damon, the Red Sox became the first major-league team to win a postseason series after having lost the first three games.
The Red Sox did their re-creation of Lazarus in the American League Championship Series against the crown-jewel franchise of the major leagues, the New York Yankoffs. The White Sox don't have nearly the Yankoffs' pedigree, but they have won 10 of 11 games this postseason."

"Yankoff fans you blew a 3-0 lead to the Red Sox in the ALCS...

"Remember..."
