2 Down, 5 to go...Pen problems persist

With two games remaining before the epic 3 game series with the Yankoffs this weekend, the Red Sox missed a golden opportunity to pick up a game on NY who were crushed 17-9 by Baltimore. In both cases the bullpen proved to be the undoing as a lack of confidence in the pen by Francoma lead him to leave Curt Schilling in to long, and forced him to go back on his word not to stick rookie Craig Hanson into a tight spot, by going to him with runners on 2nd and 3rd and only 1 out in a tied game.

The Yankoff's pen was much worse, but only after Mike Mussina gave up 5 runs on 7 hits in 1.2 innings. After "Moose", the Yankoffs plugged in 7 pitchers, who gave up the other 12 runs...

Sorry folks the park's closed, the Moose out front should have told you...
