Disney Sucks...Sort of

Your Uncle Buck is not gonna blow smoke that he isn't a Disney fan. If it was up to UB he would live at Walt Disney World and spend all day riding Splash Mountain, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and playing that golf course that has a Par 3 shaped like Mickey's head. UB Even watches Lost on ABC and is looking forward to the sequel to Pirates of the Caribbean this summer. Having said all of that UB has to agree with the Saturday Night Live cartoon (below) last week that poked fun at the "Disney Vault" in which they guard their classic films for release every so often. UB had to buy a bootleg copy of Song of the South on Ebay to see if it was as racist as everyone said (parts of it were). The hoarding of these films as a clearly financial move is disappointing for kids and fans and they way they hide behind past mistakes like they never happened is a shame. What most people don't know is that Song of the South is the same film that they don't release on DVD due to public pressure but they sell over seas. When Disney is involved you can bet that it all comes back to $$$.
