Former Sox playoff hero Derrick Lowe shocked many recently when he walked out on his wife and 3 kids to shack up with Fox Sports anchor Carolyn Hughes...Friday the Boston Herald reported that Lowe's lifestyle, which included drinking and womanizing, was one of the reasons the Red Sox didn't make a serious effort to resign him in the off season, even after he was the the winning pitcher in ALDS Game 3, ALCS Game 7 and World Series Game 4.
