Et tu, You Tube?
Your Uncle Buck was sad to learn last week that his You Tube account was closed due to a 2nd case of copyright infringement. UB had been hit once with this charge following a complaint by Major League Baseball (apparently expressed oral consent wasn't enough) for showing Red Sox highlights and apparently CBS was non too happy that UB posted the preview from the CBS Saturday Movie's presentation of Caddyshack from the late 80s. UB's not exactly sure who was being hurt by the bit of nostalgia. The move deleted 18 videos posted by UB, including the Doug Flutie Hail Mary Pass that had over 21-thousand views and was featured on Sports Illustrated.com (SI.com). Now UB reads that the owners of You Tube believe the company is worth $1 billion dollars and apparently plan to sell it...But what is it going to be worth if all that copyrighted material was pulled? Not much, unless you like little home made movies from guys dressed up as Batman and underage teens doing strip teases...For now UB will continue to post You Tube video and will try and repost as much as he can, in a more under cover mode to try and keep the dream alive...

whoa insane! i didnt know most of those vids were your, but i did wonder more than once about the infringement. i fig they would eventually eb deleted, but beauty of youtube is that even if they are up for a limited time you can always repost under a new name and keep the content rolling
